IFMS opens 375 spots in free courses for women with assistance of up to R$720
The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has announced 375 openings for free vocational training courses for women, including financial assistance of up to R$720.
The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has launched its selection process for 375 free vocational training courses specifically aimed at women as part of the Mulheres Mil program. This initiative is designed to empower women in various municipalities including Aquidauana, Coxim, Jardim, Naviraí, Nova Andradina, Paranaíba, Ponta Porã, and Três Lagoas in Brazil. The courses are offered in-person and span four months, accommodating three classes per week with practical activities.
Eligible applicants are women aged 16 and older who are in situations of social vulnerability and have completed at least elementary education. The program also provides a Bolsa-Formação, which is a monthly financial aid to assist with food and transportation costs. Notably, participants who maintain 100% attendance can receive assistance of up to R$720 during the duration of their courses, which can significantly alleviate economic pressures.
The IFMS has detailed the courses and available spots for each municipality, including positions for administrative assistants and organic farmers among others. This initiative not only aims to enhance the skills of women in these communities but also to improve their employability and financial independence, addressing critical social issues in the region.
