Meet Sesc Mesa Brasil, partner of TV TEM in a project that collects food for entities

The Sesc Mesa Brasil initiative, in partnership with TV TEM, aims to collect food for needy families across several towns in São Paulo State through the Panela Solidária project.

The Panela Solidária project, initiated by TV TEM in partnership with Sesc Mesa Brasil, is set to run from April 2 until May 23, with the primary focus on addressing food insecurity among thousands of families in the São Paulo interior. The initiative is designed to raise food donations for social institutions located in various municipalities that the TV station covers, including Sorocaba, Jundiaí, São José do Rio Preto, Araçatuba, Bauru, Marília, Presidente Prudente, and Itapetininga.

Each region involved will collaborate with local partners to facilitate the collection efforts. Notable partnerships include Tauste Supermercados in Sorocaba, Fundo Social de Solidariedade in Itapetininga, Proença Supermercados in São José do Rio Preto, and Serve Todos in Bauru, among others. The campaign aims to leverage the reach and credibility of TV TEM to ensure that food banks and charitable organizations receive ample support to help combat hunger in these areas.

Established in 1994, Sesc Mesa Brasil was originally named Mesa São Paulo and has become a crucial initiative focused on addressing food waste and insecurity. By connecting food businesses with social entities that distribute food to vulnerable populations, the program has played a significant role in alleviating hunger throughout São Paulo State. The current partnership with TV TEM highlights a collaborative approach towards social responsibility and community engagement, aiming to foster support for those in need during challenging economic times.
