Solidarity Pan: TV TEM project collects food for entities in the interior of SP; see how to donate
The Solidarity Pan project, promoted by TV TEM in partnership with Sesc Mesa Brasil, aims to collect food for social institutions aiding families in need in the interior of São Paulo.
The Solidarity Pan project is an initiative launched by TV TEM, with the goal of transforming the circumstances of countless families facing food scarcity in the interior of São Paulo. Starting from the 2nd of the month and continuing until May 23, this project enlists several points across municipalities within the television station's coverage area to facilitate food donations. These donations are intended for social institutions located in areas including São José do Rio Preto, Araçatuba, Bauru, Marília, Sorocaba, Jundiaí, Presidente Prudente, and Itapetininga.
Partnerships with local businesses play a crucial role in the success of this initiative. For example, in São José do Rio Preto, Proença Supermarkets will be involved in collecting food, while the Serve Todos and Empório São João will participate in Bauru. Similarly, Tauste Supermarkets is set to join forces with the region surrounding Sorocaba. Each partner will serve as a collection point, facilitating the donations from the community. The efforts are aimed not only at gathering food but also at raising awareness regarding food insecurity within the region.
This kind of project underlines the importance of community involvement in addressing pressing social issues like hunger and food wastage. By collaborating with local businesses and social institutions, TV TEM's Solidarity Pan project seeks to mobilize support from the public, ultimately contributing to the welfare of vulnerable families. This initiative also highlights how local media can take an active role in fostering social change through community outreach and engagement.
