TV Integração and partners launch fundraising campaign for communities affected by floods in Zona da Mata
TV Integração, in collaboration with the local government and other partners, has initiated a campaign to collect food and hygiene products for those affected by recent devastating floods in Zona da Mata, Brazil.
In response to the tragic flooding in Juiz de Fora and Ubá, which has left at least 28 dead and caused significant destruction, TV Integração has teamed up with the City Hall of Juiz de Fora, Grupo Bahamas, and Mesa Brasil Sesc to launch a fundraising campaign. This initiative specifically targets collecting non-perishable food items, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, clothing, and blankets for the affected families who have lost homes and basic necessities to the floods.
The floods have impacted hundreds of families, with at least 214 people displaced and 446 homeless, highlighting the urgent need for community support. The campaign allows local residents to make meaningful contributions to those suffering by donating essential goods. The partnership emphasizes the collective effort to provide comfort and support to the victims of this natural disaster, aiming to foster a spirit of solidarity among the community during this time of need.
To facilitate donations, designated collection points have been set up at various Bahamas stores across the affected regions, encouraging the public to participate. The campaign not only aims to alleviate immediate hardships but also serves as a reminder of the importance of community resilience in the face of natural disasters, showcasing how local businesses and government entities can come together for the common good.
