Grete-Mia Meentalo, a 17-year-old freestyle skier from Estonia, achieved a remarkable feat by winning a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships taking place in Calgary. In the finals of the halfpipe competition, Meentalo executed her first run earning a score of 78.00, placing her in second position after the initial round. Her second run yielded a higher score of 80.25, but it ultimately caused her to drop to third place, as the final run did not improve her standing further.

The championship was won by Australia's Indra Brown with a score of 92.00, while American Lainey Steen took home silver with a score of 86.75, highlighting the high level of performance at the event.

In the qualification rounds held a couple of days earlier, Meentalo had scored 82.25, placing her in line with her final performance. This consistency showcases her potential as a rising star in freestyle skiing and suggests that she could continue to make significant strides in future competitions. Her success at the Junior World Championships adds to her growing reputation and may serve as a springboard for her future endeavors in the sport, including potential participation in elite competitions.
