Drugs in Cream Biscuits... Friendship Offer on the Train and the Theft of Mobiles and Money

A man has been arrested in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, for drugging and robbing passengers on a train using cream-filled biscuits.

In a notable incident, the GRP police of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have arrested a man named Ramkumar Verma for his involvement in a series of thefts on the Amritsar-Sarhasa express train. Verma reportedly used a deceptive method to drug passengers, first by offering them cream-filled biscuits that had been tampered with. Along with three accomplices, he lured travelers into a false sense of friendship before executing the thefts, where victims ended up losing their mobile phones and cash after consuming the drug-laced treats.

On March 3, during a journey, a group of passengers from Pilibhit, including Vipin and friends Arun and Pramod, encountered Verma and his associates, who boarded the train from Jalandhar. The suspects sat close to the victims and engaged them in conversation to build trust. Subsequently, they offered the tainted biscuits to the unsuspecting travelers. While Arun and Pramod consumed the sweets, their companions refused, which led to the former suffering adverse effects and falling unconscious, ensuring the thieves could steal their belongings without resistance.

The investigation revealed that the suspects had skillfully concealed the drug within the cream of the biscuits, allowing them to maintain an appearance of normalcy while executing their plan. The remaining accomplices managed to escape the scene after the theft. This incident raises serious concerns regarding the safety of passengers on trains, highlighting the need for increased vigilance and preventive measures against such criminal tactics that exploit unsuspecting individuals.
