Sookmyung Women's University and WantedLab Join Hands for AI-Based Talent Development and Employment Competitiveness Enhancement
Sookmyung Women's University has partnered with HR tech company WantedLab to create AI-based career development programs aimed at enhancing students' employment competitiveness.
On March 5, Sookmyung Women's University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with HR tech company WantedLab to collaborate on AI-based talent development initiatives. The MOU was signed by Sookmyung President Moon Si-yeon and WantedLab CEO Lee Bok-ki, among other key stakeholders from both institutions. The partnership aims to combine Sookmyung University’s established career support systems with WantedLab’s expertise in AI-driven talent matching and educational platforms to develop customized programs for students, enhancing their employability skills.
Through this collaboration, Sookmyung University's Career Plus Center will leverage the resources of the Ministry of Employment and Labor to offer comprehensive career and employment support services for students and local communities. The focus of the agreement is to establish a sustainable model of cooperation between academia and industry that promotes the development of innovative AI-centered talent and supports youth employment through practical programs. Educational initiatives are expected to equip students with the necessary skills to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving job market.
Prior to the MOU, Sookmyung’s big data innovation initiative had already started collaborating with WantedLab to develop generative AI services, utilizing the Wanted LaaS (LLM-as-a-Service) framework. This partnership involved a competition where students from seven universities engaged in building AI capabilities and teamwork skills. Both universities anticipate that this partnership will strengthen their collective contribution to fostering creative talents capable of driving the digital transformation era, while also fulfilling their social responsibilities toward youth employment.
