A homicide suspect from Goiás died after resisting police intervention while hiding in a hotel in Unaí, Brazil.

In a tense incident in Unaí, Brazil, a man suspected of committing a homicide in Valparaíso, Goiás, died after resisting arrest by the Military Police. The police apprehended the suspect in a hotel where he was reported to be armed and hiding. When the officers arrived at the scene, they instructed him to put his hands on his head; however, he disobeyed and attempted to reach for a firearm located next to his bed. This led to a confrontation wherein the police discharged their weapons.

The exchange left the suspect disarmed, and upon assessing the situation, the police recovered a revolver loaded with five cartridges and one fired round. Despite being provided immediate medical assistance in the police vehicle, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after reaching the Hospital Municipal Doutor Joaquim Brochado.
