Suspect of homicide and robberies arrested in PI; gun and ammunition were seized

A man identified by the initials J.E. da S. F. was arrested on Monday, October 9, in Parque Naylândia, located in the Itararé neighborhood of Teresina, Piauí, Brazil. The suspect is believed to be involved in a homicide and two robberies, and he had three outstanding arrest warrants against him. During the police operation, authorities seized a revolver, ammunition, and a motorcycle from the suspect.

The arrest was conducted by the Civil Police of Piauí's Department of Captures (Decap), in conjunction with the Special Interior Policing Battalion (Bepi) of the Military Police. According to the Decap coordinator, Delegate Emir Maia, the police were conducting operations in the area when they spotted the suspect riding a motorcycle. They discreetly followed him until they were able to surround and apprehend him on the street near his home.
