A man suspected of violent assaults and homicides died during a confrontation with the military police in Redenção, Brazil.

A violent confrontation took place in Redenção, Brazil, where a suspect named Kelthison de Sousa Valério was killed during an altercation with the Military Police. Valério was wanted on charges of homicide and kidnapping, and police had been tracking him and another accomplice who were believed to be hiding in a house with a stash of weapons and drugs.

During the police operation, one suspect was able to flee into nearby properties while firing at the officers, while Valério remained and engaged directly with the police. He was injured in the gunfire exchange and, despite receiving immediate medical attention and transport to a hospital, succumbed to his injuries.
