"Kaamos" to invest 42 million euros in residential building quarter construction in Āgenskalns
Kaamos is set to invest 42 million euros in a new residential project in Āgenskalns, Riga, which will include two energy-efficient apartment buildings.
Kaamos is planning a significant investment of 42 million euros for the construction of a residential quarter in Āgenskalns, a neighborhood in Riga. The first phase of the project will include two four-story apartment buildings with a total of 76 apartments ranging from two to four rooms, with sizes varying between 51.5 to 97.8 square meters. It is anticipated that the initial phase will be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2027, with investments amounting to 14 million euros for this stage alone.
This development, named 'Hagen,' marks the seventh project by Kaamos for residential buildings in Riga, and it will be managed by its construction arm, Kaamos Construction. Significantly, this will be the fifth apartment project executed by the company in Latvia independently. The new residential quarter will be constructed on a site where the textile factory 'Aurora' used to operate before it was demolished in 2018, indicating a shift in the urban landscape towards residential housing.
The apartments in the 'Hagen' project are designed with modern amenities, featuring 2.7-meter high ceilings, large windows, underfloor heating, and individually adjustable ventilation systems. The roofs of the buildings will be outfitted with solar panels to supply communal electricity, contributing to lower operational costs for apartment owners and promoting energy efficiency, aligning with modern sustainability goals in urban housing development.
