Bonava Latvia to invest 11.5 million euros in residential housing project in Torņakalns

Bonava Latvia is investing 11.5 million euros to build two six-story apartment buildings in Torņakalns, Riga, with a focus on modern and sustainable solutions.

Bonava Latvia has announced an investment of 11.5 million euros for a new residential project in the former Riga Oil Press area, located between Jelgavas Street and Vienības Avenue. This undertaking will consist of two six-story buildings offering 120 apartments ranging from one to four rooms, with sizes between 42 and 79 square meters. The project also includes the first building on Jelgavas Street 51, which is scheduled to be commissioned this spring and has already seen more than 60% of its apartments sold or reserved. The demand has been particularly high for three-room apartments.

The company has emphasized the incorporation of modern and sustainable features in the development process. To support energy efficiency, solar panels will be installed on the roofs, which will help to partially cover electricity costs for residents. Additionally, each apartment will be equipped with a customized ventilation system with heat recovery. The project will also feature amenities such as bicycle parking and car parking spaces, including infrastructure for electric vehicle charging.

This project, part of the "Hartmaņa Quarter" development plan, will spread across a 3.3-hectare area, with projections for completion by 2031. The initiative reflects a growing trend in Riga's urban development towards building sustainable housing solutions that meet the rising demand for modern living spaces.
