Free basic computer course is open for registration in MS

The State University of Mato Grosso do Sul is open for registrations until April 4 for an online Basic Computer Course starting on March 14 and aiming to teach essential computer skills.

The State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) has announced that it is accepting registrations for its online Basic Computer Course 2026 until April 4. This course, scheduled to start on March 14 and run until June 27, is designed for individuals aged 16 and older who wish to enhance their fundamental computer skills. With a total of 100 available slots, prospective students are advised that registrations will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, and those exceeding this number will be placed on a waiting list.

The initiative is organized by the Computer Science and Information Systems departments at the Dourados campus and aims to familiarize participants with important digital tools. The course curriculum will cover the use of office software, internet navigation, and essential digital security practices. This educational opportunity not only seeks to elevate the technological competence of its participants but also aims to broaden community access to knowledge, encouraging a more tech-savvy population.

By facilitating such training, UEMS addresses a critical need for digital literacy in today's increasingly technology-driven world. Providing free access to computer education helps eliminate barriers for individuals who may find such opportunities financially challenging, thus enabling them to gain skills that are indispensable in various sectors of employment and daily life. This initiative stands to empower the local community of Dourados by equipping them with the tools needed to thrive in a digital age.
