Women can enroll in free course in construction industry in MS
The project "Elas Constroem" offers free professional qualification courses exclusively for women interested in the civil construction sector in Mato Grosso do Sul, with applications open until February 27, 2026.
The project "Elas Constroem" has opened registrations for its second module, aimed at providing free professional qualification courses tailored exclusively for women seeking to enter the civil construction industry in Mato Grosso do Sul. Applications are open through February 27, 2026, with the inaugural class set for March 7, 2026. This initiative reflects a commitment to increasing women's participation in a predominantly male field, while also addressing the issue of labor shortages in the region.
This new phase of the project will offer four distinct courses, which include Bricklaying (160 hours), Ceramic Tile Installer (160 hours), BobCat Operator + NR-18 (40 hours), and Construction Budgeting (40 hours). Each course is designed to provide both theoretical knowledge, delivered online, and practical training at the SENAI School of Construction. Limited to 20 spots per class, the courses aim to equip women with the essential skills needed to thrive in the construction sector, thereby promoting greater financial independence.
Overall, the "Elas Constroem" initiative signifies a positive step towards not only empowering women but also addressing the labor market's dynamics within the construction sector. By fostering an environment that encourages female participation, this program not only aims to balance gender representation in trades and construction but also contributes to the skilled labor pool in Mato Grosso do Sul, ultimately benefiting the local economy and community development.
