A memorial honoring the Brazilian band Mamonas Assassinas has unveiled a unique initiative where the ashes of the band members are combined with seeds of jacaranda trees to symbolize renewal and immortality. The space will host five jacarandas, each representing one of the band members—Dinho, Bento, Samuel, Júlio, and Sérgio. This memorial is not just a tribute but also a living representation of their legacy, with the first steps involving the placement of individual urns containing the ashes and seeds into a prepared incubation center located near the memorial site.

The ceremony marking this momentous occasion, attended only by family members, began around 14:00. Each urn, which contains a mix of the musicians' ashes and jacaranda seeds, has been carefully prepared and labeled with the respective members' photos and names. The incubation process is expected to last between 12 and 24 months, a period during which the seeds will germinate, eventually growing into jacaranda seedlings that will further commemorate the artists.

This innovative memorial concept, integrating nature with memory, speaks to the emotional connection fans and family members have with the band, known for their poignant music and tragic end.
