LIVE: How to Share Responsibility with Preschool-Age Children

A lecture will discuss the importance of sharing responsibility with preschool-age children and methods for implementing it in daily life.

The upcoming lecture, conducted in collaboration with the Family Psychology Center 'LĪNA', focuses on the significance of teaching young children the skill of sharing responsibility. This skill is viewed through the lens of child development, exploring the foundational aspects necessary for a child to be prepared to take on responsibility. The conversation will delve into the various methods and scenarios for incorporating this important life skill into daily routines with preschoolers.

The lecture is part of the sixth Children’s Mental Health Week 'Talk to Me', which runs from March 2 to March 8. This initiative aims to educate parents and support figures about children's mental health, while also informing them about available resources and avenues for seeking help in Latvia. The week-long program emphasizes the essential role of open communication, and the importance of mental well-being in the early years of development, stressing that enhancing children's capacity for responsibility is a fundamental aspect of their mental health.

Organized by the organization 'Debesmanna', the online events of 'Talk to Me' will be free of charge and accessible remotely through Facebook and Instagram profiles of 'Debesmanna' and its partners. This approach ensures that critical conversations around mental health and development reach a wider audience, supporting families as they guide their children through the early stages of independence and self-awareness.
