VIDEO: How to Share Responsibility with Preschool Children

A lecture will discuss the importance of sharing responsibility with preschool children and how it contributes to their development.

The lecture aims to educate parents and caregivers about the significant skill of sharing responsibility with preschool-age children, focusing on the developmental benefits for the child. It will cover the underlying foundations necessary for a child to be ready to take on responsibilities and how to evaluate their readiness. Additionally, the event will discuss practical methods and situations suitable for daily implementation of shared responsibility with young children.

This lecture is part of the sixth Mental Health Week for Children, titled "Talk to Me," taking place from March 2 to 8. The initiative, organized by the "Debesmanna" association, aims to raise awareness among parents and support figures regarding children's mental health, resources, and avenues for seeking help in Latvia. The online events are free and will be hosted virtually on the Facebook and Instagram profiles of "Debesmanna" and its partners.

Collaborating with the Family Psychology Center "LĪNA," this educational session emphasizes the essential role of parental guidance in fostering mental well-being and responsibility in children. The efforts during the Mental Health Week reflect a broader commitment in Latvia to support families in nurturing healthy development in preschool-aged children, potentially impacting future societal attitudes towards mental health and caregiving practices.
