Telia has introduced special call rates for its clients in the Middle East, offering calls to Estonia and local numbers at a reduced price during a specific timeframe.
In response to the emergency situation in the Middle East, Telia has announced a reduced call rate of €0.5 per minute for calls made from Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel to Estonia and local numbers during the period from March 1 to March 8, 2026. Additionally, all incoming calls for Telia clients in these regions will be free during this period. This initiative is aimed at ensuring that customers stay connected with their loved ones under challenging circumstances.
Evelin Neerot, head of Telia's connection services department, emphasized the importance of maintaining reliable communication channels during international tensions. She stated that providing lower rates for such services is crucial, particularly when individuals need to reach out to family and friends during stressful times. Telia's efforts reflect a broader commitment to customer support in crisis situations.
These special rates will be automatically applied to all Telia mobile customers located in the specified countries, making it easier for them to communicate without incurring high costs.
