Telia has problems in several parts of the country

Telia is experiencing technical difficulties that are affecting customers' ability to make calls in various regions of Norway.

Telia, the telecom operator, is currently dealing with technical issues that are impacting some customers' ability to make phone calls across multiple regions in Norway. Daniel Barhom, the information manager at Telia, confirmed these problems and stated that the company is actively troubleshooting to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. He expressed apologies for the inconveniences faced by affected customers and mentioned that they are assessing the extent of the faults while continuing their troubleshooting efforts.

The problems were first reported by NRK, another Norwegian news outlet. VG reached out to Telenor for comments regarding the situation, but they have yet to respond. Meanwhile, the police are aware of the communication hurdles associated with Telia and its subsidiary Phonero. While emergency calls to 112 are still operational, there are complications with connecting to the number 02800, which could affect non-emergency inquiries and services.

This disruption highlights the challenges faced by telecommunication companies during technical failures and raises concerns over the reliability of communication services, especially for emergency contacts. The issues may prompt scrutiny from both consumers and regulatory bodies regarding the stability and responsiveness of network services in Norway.
