Takarazuka Music School Graduates 40 with the Aim to Bring Happiness to Customers

At Takarazuka Music School, 40 students graduated, aspiring to become performers who bring happiness to their audiences.

On the 2nd of this month, Takarazuka Music School in Hyogo Prefecture celebrated the graduation of its 112th class, consisting of 40 students who completed approximately two years of rigorous training. The principal, Tatsuya Nakanishi, awarded their diplomas and encouraged the graduates to aspire to be inspiring figures that bring dreams, emotions, courage, and energy to their audiences—a sentiment reinforced by mentioning local gold medalist in figure skating, Riku Miura, who hails from Takarazuka city.

One of the standout graduates, Miko Kunimune from Osaka, received the prestigious Kobayashi Ichizo Prize awarded to the top graduate. In a post-ceremony interview, she reflected on her past two years at the school, recalling how it felt like just yesterday when she enrolled. She expressed her ambition to become a 'daughter role' performer who leaves the audience feeling delighted and motivated to face their own challenges. This emphasizes a strong commitment to connecting emotionally with patrons through their performances.

The newly graduated students are set to make their debut in the upcoming Soragumi performance 'Black Lizard,' starting on May 23 at Takarazuka Grand Theatre in Takarazuka City. This event marks the commencement of their professional careers as Takarazu performers, and anticipation is building for their first public appearance, showcasing the talent and dedication they have cultivated during their time at the school.
