The Latgalian cultural news portal lakuga.lv and Latvijas Sabiedriskā medija portal LSM.lv have announced that public voting for the 'Boņuks 2025' awards is now open. From March 2 to March 11, everyone can participate by supporting their favorite among 30 nominees that highlight the most significant events, personalities, or activities in Latgalian culture for the year 2025.
The 'Boņuks' awards recognize outstanding contributions to Latgalian culture, with the public vote determining the recipient of the 'Žyka' prize, which will be announced on March 14 during the awards ceremony. This event, which will be celebrated for its eighth time, emphasizes community involvement and appreciation for cultural achievements within the Latgalian region.
Viewers can tune into the awards ceremony broadcast live on Latvijas Radio 1 and follow the event online on LSM.lv, REplay.lv, and LTV1, ensuring widespread access to this celebration of Latgalian cultural heritage.
