The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in Ecuador announced controlled traffic on the Balbanera-Pallatanga-Cumandá road from March 2 to 8, 2026.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) in Ecuador has announced that from March 2 to 8, 2026, vehicle circulation will be controlled on the Balbanera-Pallatanga-Cumandá road. This will involve the use of a single lane, with alternating traffic every 30 minutes from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The affected sectors include specific kilometers in Colta, El Lirio, Entrada a Columbe, and Cascajal.
During this period, the ministry emphasizes the importance of adhering to the posted traffic signals and exercising caution to ensure road safety while maintenance work is carried out. The controlled circulation aims to facilitate necessary road maintenance while minimizing disruption to drivers. Continuous maintenance by microenterprises is also in place to keep the roadway in good condition.
The MIT's proactive communication to the public regarding these changes highlights the government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and ensuring user safety. This initiative is expected to improve overall traffic conditions in the affected areas and demonstrates the state's role in maintaining vital transport routes in Ecuador.
