The MS Supera program in Brazil is providing 600 scholarships worth R$ 1,621 for students in technical and higher education courses.
The MS Supera program, recently established in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, aims to support students in higher education and technical courses by offering financial assistance of R$ 1,621. With 600 slots available, the program is set to open applications on March 3, allowing students to apply until March 11. Notably, there is no application fee, and candidates are required to submit specific documents, including proof of residence and academic history.
Eligibility for this program requires candidates to meet certain criteria: they must have a personal income of up to 1.5 minimum wages or a family income of up to three minimum wages. Additionally, students should be enrolled in MEC-authorized undergraduate programs, either in person or online, or in technical courses of at least 18 months duration. Furthermore, they must have been residents of Mato Grosso do Sul for a minimum of two years and should not have previously completed a degree.
This financial aid program highlights the government’s commitment to increasing access to education for low-income students in the region. By removing barriers like application fees and academic testing, it aims to foster greater educational equity and support for individuals pursuing academic qualifications, ultimately benefiting the local workforce in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.
