City of Poços Concludes the Listing of the Old Building of the Municipal ADM

The city of Poços de Caldas has completed the formal listing of its historical municipal building, enhancing its protection as a cultural heritage site.

The old municipal building located in the central area of Poços de Caldas has successfully undergone the process of local listing, officially documented by a decree signed by Mayor Paulo Ney. This building was already under protection by municipal law, but the new decree marks the conclusion of the administrative procedure, solidifying its status as a protected cultural heritage site. The process involved the creation of a technical dossier by the Division of Built Heritage and Listing of the Secretary of Urban Planning and Development.

The technical dossier outlined preservation guidelines for the listed building and its surrounding area, in accordance with current legal standards. This move emphasizes the responsibilities of the Executive Power to regulate and implement measures for the safeguarding of cultural heritage, ensuring that the historical and architectural significance of the site is maintained as part of the community's identity and legacy.

By concluding this listing process, Poços de Caldas not only protects a significant piece of its history but also promotes awareness about the importance of preserving cultural sites. The initiative reflects a commitment to maintaining the town's heritage for future generations, ensuring that the architectural heritage continues to be appreciated by residents and visitors alike.
