The Poços de Caldas City Hall has been awarded a quality seal in public transparency by the Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Minas Gerais during a ceremony in Belo Horizonte.
The City Hall of Poços de Caldas has been recognized for its commitment to public transparency by the Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Minas Gerais (TCEMG). This acknowledgment was part of the National Public Transparency Program (PNTP) Cycle 2025 awards ceremony held in Belo Horizonte. The award emphasizes the significance of transparent governance as a vital feature of public administration, and Poços de Caldas stands out among only a few municipalities in the state to achieve this recognition.
During the event, it was highlighted that among the 853 municipalities in Minas Gerais, only about 40 received awards, which underscores the competitive nature of this recognition. The evaluation criteria focused on the promotion of active publicity, the strengthening of social control, and the thorough assessment of municipal institutional portals. Poços de Caldas proudly received the Silver Seal, establishing its effective measures in providing transparency and accountability in governmental operations.
Overall, receiving this award strengthens Poços de Caldas' public image and reinforces its commitment to transparency. The distinction not only enhances the municipality's credibility with citizens but also sets a standard for other local governments in the region to follow, encouraging broader participation and accountability in civic affairs, which is essential for a healthy democracy.
