A 23-year-old man, identified as a leader of a criminal organization, was arrested in the Elesbão neighborhood of Santana, Amapá, following an incident where he assaulted his partner. The arrest took place on Thursday, October 26, and was executed by the Amapá Civil Police's Specialized Women’s Assistance Division (DEAM) in collaboration with the Tactical Air Group (GTA). Authorities acted swiftly after the victim, a 21-year-old woman, reported ongoing physical, verbal, and psychological abuse, culminating in a severe attack where she was physically assaulted, threatened, and had her clothes torn.

During the police intervention, officers discovered a firearm, ammunition, and illegal drugs in the suspect's possession, leading to further criminal charges. The victim's account of continuous violence and intimidation highlights a pervasive issue within domestic settings, prompting the judicial system to authorize a preventive arrest in light of the urgent need to protect vulnerable individuals.
