ABC is being demolished - this will come in its place
The ABC service station in Siilinjärvi, Finland is set to be demolished and replaced with a new S-market and Drive-in-Hesburger, along with additional services.
The ABC service station in Siilinjärvi is being demolished as announced by Osuuskauppa PeeÄssä. In its place, a new S-market will be constructed, accompanied by a Drive-in-Hesburger, two ABC Carwash facilities, a refueling station, and six high-capacity charging points for electric vehicles. Construction is scheduled to begin in early summer while the current service station will continue to operate until the end of March.
Jouni Ruotsalainen, a director at Peeässa's retail sector, indicated that the existing building has reached the end of its lifecycle. Renovating the old structure into a functional commercial space would be very challenging. The company aims to enhance services for Siilinjärvi's customer-owners and better meet local needs that the current facility cannot accommodate.
Additionally, the new store is expected to be significantly larger than the existing one and will operate around the clock. The planned Drive-in-Hesburger is particularly anticipated by the local community, as noted by Aleksi Vuorinne, the director of travel, catering and transportation commerce at the company, highlighting a strong demand for this service in Siilinjärvi.
