Mamonas Assassinas: plush toy found on guitarist Bento's coffin

A plush toy was discovered on the coffin of Mamonas Assassinas' guitarist Bento during his exhumation, sparking discussions about fan tributes.

During the exhumation of guitarist Alberto Bento Hinoto, known as Bento from the Brazilian rock band Mamonas Assassinas, a plush toy was found resting on his coffin. This discovery follows the earlier finding of a jacket laid on vocalist Dinho's coffin during a similar process. The plush toy was in good condition, despite being covered with dirt, indicating it had been placed there recently as a tribute to the musician.

Claudia Hinoto, the sister-in-law of Bento, speculated that the plush toy may have been given to Bento's mother as a gesture of appreciation from a fan, and later placed on the coffin during the exhumation ceremony. The family intends to display the plush toy in a memorial dedicated to the band, which will be located at the Primaveras Cemetery in Guarulhos, São Paulo.

The Mamonas Assassinas were a beloved Brazilian band that tragically lost all its members in a plane crash in 1996. The continued interest in their legacy highlights their impact on Brazilian music and culture, and fan tributes like this one serve as a testament to their enduring popularity, even decades after their untimely demise.
