A police raid in Nagaur, Rajasthan exposed a secret hub for online betting that had been operating illegally for the past decade.
In a significant operation, local police in Nagaur, Rajasthan uncovered a secret hub for online cricket betting located on Tausar Road. This illegal operation has reportedly been ongoing for the last ten years, with authorities highlighting the extensive network that was managed from a single location. The raid, conducted by the District Special Team (DST) along with local police, led to the arrest of two suspects and the confiscation of various electronic devices, including laptops, mobile phones, and ATM cards, alongside numerous ledgers documenting the betting operations.
The police had received a tip-off about the illegal betting network being run from the first floor of Bhinwaraj Complex, which allowed them to act swiftly during a late-night patrol. Upon reaching the location, the police discovered an extensive array of documents and electronic devices that were instrumental in facilitating the betting activities. The seized materials included 21 registers of varying sizes, diaries, numerous betting accounting tools, and communication devices, all indicating a sophisticated system for managing online wagers and transactions.
