Invest 10 thousand, get 20 thousand... A ploy by the double money gang that left the police stunned

In Alwar district, Rajasthan, police have arrested two individuals involved in a cyber fraud scheme promising to double investments, revealing a small but active network.

In a significant crackdown on cyber fraud in Alwar district of Rajasthan, police have made a successful arrest of two individuals operating a scam that promises to double investments within a short period. The accused, identified as Rahul Bansal from Belaka and Momu Nasir from Divakari, utilized social media and messaging platforms to lure victims under the guise of secure investment opportunities. They initially gained the trust of individuals by offering small returns before enticing them into making larger investments, which were then diverted to their personal bank accounts.

Investigation revealed that the modus operandi of the accused was well-organized and deceptive. They presented themselves as investment advisors or affiliated with trustworthy financial schemes to create a sense of reliability. The scam typically started with promises of doubling small amounts—around 5 to 10 thousand rupees—which encouraged victims to make more substantial investments based on a mix of temptation and trust in their fraudulent assurances. The efforts of the Aravali Vihar police highlighted the need for increased public awareness regarding such scams.

Police officer Rameshwar Lal stated that the early investigation indicated the presence of a well-knit network that capitalized on people's desire to make quick money through investments. As law enforcement steps up to combat such cyber fraud schemes, it is crucial for individuals to be vigilant and skeptical of offers that seem too good to be true, especially in the realm of online investments.
