Secult opens call for artists and producers to promote events

The Piauí State Culture Secretariat (Secult) is inviting artists and producers to showcase their events through its Cultural Agenda, which celebrates its first anniversary as an essential tool for promoting local culture.

The Cultural Agenda of the Piauí State Culture Secretariat (Secult) has reached its first anniversary, establishing itself as a vital platform for promoting and valuing the cultural scene of Piauí. Over the course of 2025, the agenda has featured 450 events, including 50 funded by the State System of Incentives for Culture (Siec), 55 supported by the National Aldir Blanc Policy (Pnab), 15 under the Paulo Gustavo Law (LPG), and 40 with direct support. This extensive listing highlights the commitment to fostering local cultural production.

Rodrigo Amorim, the State Secretary of Culture, emphasizes that the Cultural Agenda acts as a democratic and accessible platform, ensuring that various artistic expressions—ranging from music and theater to literature and popular manifestations—are given the opportunity to reach broader audiences. The initiative plays a crucial role in connecting the people of Piauí with their cultural heritage, allowing for greater participation and engagement within their own communities.

As the agenda continues to grow, it signifies a strategic move towards cultural democratization in Piauí. By promoting a rich array of events and artistic expressions, the Cultural Agenda not only supports local artists but also enriches the overall cultural landscape of the region, encouraging a vibrant cultural dialogue among residents and visitors alike.
