Piauí will have R$ 45 million for cultural projects through the Aldir Blanc Law and Siec

The governor of Piauí announced R$ 45 million for cultural projects through new funding initiatives.

On Wednesday, Governor Rafael Fonteles launched nine notices for the second cycle of the National Policy Aldir Blanc for Cultural Development (PNAB 2026) and five notices for Piauí Mais Cultura, significantly boosting state investment in the cultural sector. A total of R$ 31 million will be allocated to the PNAB 2026, of which R$ 16.2 million is reserved for cultural infrastructure and R$ 14.7 million for direct funding through competitive notices. With these new initiatives, 316 funding opportunities will be available, covering a wide array of cultural expressions and regions within Piauí.

The new funding aims to enhance the development of various cultural forms in Piauí, providing artists and cultural institutions with necessary financial support to realize their projects. The Governor emphasized the importance of investing in culture to preserve local traditions while also promoting new artistic endeavors.
