Following intense rainfall and landslides in Minas Gerais, the city of Porto Alegre and the government of Rio Grande do Sul are taking action to assist affected municipalities such as Juiz de Fora and Ubá. Porto Alegre's municipal government initiated a donation campaign, while Governor Eduardo Leite has made state security forces available for emergency support.
