In response to the devastating effects of intense rainfall in Juiz de Fora and Ubá, communities and organizations in the South of Minas region, particularly in Varginha, are coming together to provide assistance to those impacted. Local residents are organizing numerous solidarity actions aimed at collecting essential items for those affected, including water, hygiene products, and non-perishable food items.

The initiative has garnered support from various members of the community, including local businesses. Elizio Júnior, the owner of a flower shop in Varginha, is leading the effort, which was inspired by his deep personal connections to Juiz de Fora, where he lived for many years and still has family and friends. He expressed the emotional toll the situation has taken on him and his family, prompting them to take action.

Additionally, to facilitate contributions, Elizio has offered to pick up donations from those unable to deliver them in person. This outreach highlights the community's solidarity and willingness to support each other in times of crisis, showcasing the power of collective action in the face of natural disasters.
