Charity campaign ''Angels over Latvia'' ends with donations of 852,192.90 euros
The charity campaign 'Angels over Latvia' raised a total of 852,192.90 euros to support therapeutic services for 416 children across Latvia.
The charity campaign 'Angels over Latvia' culminated last year shortly before Christmas with a goodwill concert, and public contributions continued until January 31 of this year. Through collective efforts in kindness, a total of 852,192.90 euros was raised, which will fund medical and rehabilitation services for 416 children throughout Latvia. This community initiative reflects a strong social commitment to support vulnerable children in need.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, the donations will provide essential assistance to children with various health issues. Specifically, 234 children on the autism spectrum will receive a year of ABA therapy and speech therapy sessions, while 27 children with movement disorders will benefit from financial support for technical aids and orthopedic footwear. Additionally, 92 children will receive assistance in emergencies, including coverage for medications, flights, and medical tests, and 63 children will receive necessary support for purchasing medications.
This campaign has united the community for the 18th time, showcasing diverse experiences among participants. For some, it is associated with making phone calls for donations, while for others, it represents an essential contribution to improving the lives of children in need. As such, the success of this initiative highlights the importance of community involvement in charitable actions and the significant impact it can have on the lives of individuals in need of support.
