Latvian Public Media's Fundraising Campaign Has Raised 383,417 Euros to Provide Heat for Ukraine
Latvian Public Media's fundraising initiative in collaboration with Ziedot.lv has raised 383,417 euros to support Ukrainian communities affected by energy infrastructure damage due to the ongoing war.
Latvian Public Media (LSM) has launched a fundraising campaign from February 9 to February 24 to aid Ukraine, gathered 383,417 euros by engaging the public through phone calls and online donations. This year marks the fifth such campaign, aimed at providing heating and electricity to communities in Ukraine that are suffering from the destruction of energy infrastructure due to the ongoing Russian invasion. The donations collected will be directed to ensuring essential heating, generators, and electricity supplies for these critically affected areas.
The campaign highlights the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, where the war has led to significant damage to vital services and infrastructure. As the campaign coincides with the fourth anniversary of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, LSM emphasizes the urgency of support for the communities struggling to endure harsh winter conditions without adequate heating. The funds raised during this initiative are set to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected!
LSM reiterates its commitment to the cause by encouraging Latvians to contribute generously, underlining that every little bit helps. With an increasing number of people in Ukraine affected by the cold during winter, the collaboration with Ziedot.lv aims to mobilize resources to provide relief to those in dire need, reaffirming Latvia's solidarity with Ukraine amid the continuing conflict.
