Särkänniemi amusement park in Finland has recently unveiled images of its upcoming family roller coaster named Konect, set to open in summer 2026. Located by Lake Näsijärvi, the new ride appears nearly complete as it debuted last week where the final section of its track was installed, although some construction remains ongoing. The completion of the track layout marks a crucial step towards the anticipated summer opening of the attraction.

Eeva Muurimäki, the director of Särkänniemi's amusement park operations, expressed her excitement in a statement, highlighting the joy the new roller coaster is expected to bring to visitors of all ages. The Konect roller coaster has reached its full height, allowing it to weave through the amusement park area, providing a new thrill for park-goers. This project is seen as a major development for the park, contributing to its growth and offering an enhanced experience for families.

As work progresses, the next significant phase involves assembling maintenance platforms adjacent to the lift area. The completion of this roller coaster represents a substantial investment estimated at 9 million euros, emphasizing Särkänniemi's commitment to expanding its attractions and improving overall visitor experience at the park.
