Three young people die and one is injured after car veers off road in an accident on a highway in PR
Three young people tragically lost their lives in a car accident on highway PR-218 in northern Paraná, Brazil, while a fourth occupant was injured.
Three young individuals, aged 15 and 19, died in a car accident on highway PR-218, located between Joaquim Távora and Carlópolis in northern Paraná, Brazil. The accident took place on the afternoon of Saturday, the 21st. According to the State Highway Police (PRE), the cause of the crash remains under investigation; however, it has been reported that the vehicle veered off the road and came to a stop on the right side of the highway, suffering extensive front-end damage.
The sole survivor, a 26-year-old passenger, was taken to the emergency room in Carlópolis for treatment. Unfortunately, the three young individuals, identified as Guilherme Rodrigues de Lima, aged 19, who was the licensed driver, and two others aged 15, succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident. Their bodies were subsequently sent to the Scientific Police office in Jacarezinho for examination.
This tragic incident raises concerns regarding road safety and the potential factors that may contribute to such accidents involving young drivers. As investigations proceed, it highlights the need for awareness and measures to improve driving conditions and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
