The accident resulted in the deaths of a couple, identified as Eliano José da Silva, 50, and Josicleide Leite da Paz, 47. According to reports from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the incident transpired at kilometer 114, with preliminary investigations suggesting that the vehicle aquaplaned before rolling over.

Emergency services responded promptly, transporting Eliano, Josicleide, and three other passengers to the Regional Hospital of Agreste (HRA). Unfortunately, both Eliano and Josicleide succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival.
