Driver dies and two people are injured in accident between car and pickup truck on PR-323, in PR

A 38-year-old driver was killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a car and a pickup truck on PR-323 in Paraná, Brazil.

On the evening of Saturday, October 7, a fatal accident occurred on PR-323 in Perobal, in the northwest of Paraná, Brazil, resulting in one death and two injuries. The collision involved a pickup truck that was traveling from Cafezal do Sul to Umuarama and a car that was coming from the opposite direction. The crash happened around 9:20 PM at kilometer 324 of the highway.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, but the driver of the car, who was 38 years old, died on-site from the impact. Among the passengers of the car, a 62-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was transported to Norospar Hospital in Umuarama for treatment. The pickup truck’s driver, a 21-year-old young man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby health post for care.

Authorities from the State Highway Police (Polícia Rodoviária Estadual) are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, and the identities of the victims have not yet been released. This incident raises concerns about road safety in the area, especially regarding the conditions that may have contributed to this tragic event.
