The Japanese Department of Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies hosted its ‘3rd Overseas Department Meeting’ from February 6-7 in Japan's Kansai region, emphasizing an interactive learning environment for students currently living abroad. This event brought together ten students from Japan and ten from Korea, facilitating cultural exchange and enhancing language capabilities through organized activities such as campus tours at Osaka University and excursions to cultural heritage sites in Kyoto.
During the first day of the meeting, students explored various campuses of Osaka University, including significant experiential learning in linguistics and phonetics facilities, all arranged by professors from the university, enhancing students' educational and research exposure. This immersive experience proved instrumental in helping students understand the educational landscape of Japan's national universities, preparing them for future academic pursuits. On the second day, participants engaged in cultural explorations around Kyoto, consolidating their appreciation for Japanese culture and history, crucial for language professionals.
Moreover, the event served as a platform for alumni who have successfully transitioned into esteemed programs at national universities, sharing insights and roadmaps to successful admissions.
