Three group living houses will be established in Vilnius district

The Vilnius district will see the construction of three group living houses to meet the growing demand for such services, providing 30 new spaces for residents in a safe and modern environment.

In response to the increasing demand for group living houses in the Vilnius district, project initiatives will lead to the creation of three new facilities, providing adequate space and services for individuals requiring assistance. Mayor Robertas Duchnevičius emphasized the importance of ensuring high-quality services in a safe, modern, and accommodating environment for the residents. The project will utilize two municipal land plots located in Parudaminio and Karklėnų villages, where dilapidated buildings will be demolished to make way for new constructions. Each facility is expected to offer 10 new spaces, ultimately contributing a total of 30 spots for individuals in need of special living arrangements. Additionally, the development in Visalaukės I village will involve major renovations to adapt existing structures for group living purposes. All new buildings will be designed with accessibility in mind, incorporating various features such as ramps, properly adjusted parking, and designated movement zones to accommodate individuals with disabilities. The initiative not only addresses the immediate demand for group living homes but also signifies a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Vilnius region, reflecting a progressive approach to social infrastructure planning.
