This marks a significant rise from the previous support level of 191,060 euros, which was itself an increase from 81,060 euros just a year earlier. During the committee meeting, it was explained that the municipal support represents about 15% of the overall budget for the marathon. Additionally, it was reported that the Riga City Council had previously entered into a five-year agreement with SIA "Nords Event Communications" to manage the marathon's organization.
