Without official announcement, the airport train in Guarulhos already takes passengers to the terminals

The new "people mover" system, operational since last Wednesday, transports passengers at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo without an official commercial launch.

Starting last Wednesday, the "people mover" aeromóvel has begun transporting passengers at São Paulo's Guarulhos Airport, even before an official announcement or commercial operation date was provided. This new transport system links the CPTM (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos) station to the airport's three terminals, addressing the previous need for bus transport for airport access.

Initially opened for airport employees on December 3, the aeromóvel is now available for passengers arriving at the CPTM station or disembarking from flights. The development was necessary because the CPTM station does not directly serve the airport, thus creating a need for the aeromóvel system. Until the official operational commencement of the trains, passenger transport will continue to be provided by buses, which are currently still in service.

Operational hours for the "people mover" have been set from 5:30 PM to midnight, as preparations are made for a full commercial launch at an unspecified future date. The introduction of this transport method aims to streamline passenger movement and improve connectivity with the urban transit system, offering a more efficient alternative than the previous bus services.
