SAC provides exclusive service for the elderly for the issuance of the new National Identity Card in Bahia

The SAC will offer exclusive services for elderly individuals over 60 years old in Bahia to issue the new National Identity Card this Saturday.

The Citizen Service (SAC) in Bahia is set to offer a dedicated service for elderly individuals aged 60 and above on Saturday, focusing on the issuance of the new National Identity Card (CIN). This free service aims to cater specifically to the needs of older citizens, ensuring they receive specialized assistance. To access this service, appointments must be arranged in advance through the designated call center numbers.

The initiative is part of the 'Citizen 60+' project and will take place in Salvador and its metropolitan area, involving all SAC service points, as well as 21 units across the interior of the state and 39 additional SAC points. Previous editions of this program have seen nearly 10,000 attendees, demonstrating significant community engagement and the importance of such tailored services for the elderly population.

This move not only highlights the government's commitment to facilitating access to essential services for older adults but also reflects a growing recognition of the need for programs that specifically address the challenges faced by this demographic. By prioritizing the elderly for ID issuance, the SAC aims to promote inclusivity and ensure that older citizens can navigate bureaucracy more easily in Brazil.
