On the early morning of February 16, emergency services responded to a house fire in Maštaičių village, Šakių district, where they discovered the burned body of a man born in 1965. Later that evening, at around 11 PM, a fire occurred in an agricultural building in Naujasėdžio village, Vilnius district, resulting in the discovery of two charred bodies of unidentified individuals. In the early hours of the following Tuesday, around 1:50 AM, a fire in a house on Ramybės Street in Širvintos led to the finding of the burned remains of a man born in 1954 and a woman born in 1965. Preliminary investigations have been initiated to determine the causes of these deaths, underscoring the ongoing concern regarding fire safety and its devastating consequences in the community.
