Three people injured in weekend fires, residents suffered significant losses

Three individuals were injured in a series of residential fires over the weekend in Lithuania, causing significant property damage.

Over the weekend, multiple residential fires broke out in Lithuania, resulting in injuries and substantial losses for residents. The first incident occurred in Kairėnėlių village, Radviliškis district, where a house was engulfed in flames on Saturday evening. The owner was hospitalized with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, and the fire destroyed the roof, ceilings, walls, and interior belongings of the house.

Later that day in Rūdiškių village, Prienai district, another wooden house caught fire, and a conscious victim was found severely burned outside the building. Emergency services transported this individual to a medical facility for treatment. Much like the previous fire, this incident resulted in the total destruction of the building's interior and roof.

The final fire reported occurred in Žiaukų village, Klaipėda district, affecting a garden house. When firefighters arrived, all residents had evacuated, but one person who had inhaled smoke was taken to the hospital. Firefighters managed to remove a gas cylinder from the house and protect an adjacent structure from catching fire, but the interior and ceilings of the garden house sustained significant damage as well.
