Biatlonist Lozbers: I enjoyed starting with such a high number

Latvia's biathlete Lozbers expressed his enjoyment of competing with a high starting number, praising the support team and his skis despite not qualifying for the mass start event.

Latvian biathlete Lozbers shared his experience after finishing a race, highlighting the satisfaction he felt competing with a high starting number. He commended the service team for preparing equipment that was well-suited for the competition, which allowed him to ski with the 25th fastest pace during the race. Despite his strong start, he did not qualify for the mass start event, which did not diminish his spirits as he looks forward to his next race in the team relay scheduled for Tuesday.

Additionally, Andrejs Rastorgujevs, another Latvian biathlete, reflected on his performance, acknowledging the challenges of the sport. While he felt he did his best, he expressed some dissatisfaction with his results in the shooting stages, indicating the unpredictable nature of sports where performance can fluctuate. He, too, thanked his service team for their efforts.

Rastorgujevs is preparing for upcoming events, holding on to the hope of performing well in both the team relay and mass start events set for Tuesday and Friday respectively. Both athletes are eager to continue their Olympic journey, with high expectations from their team and the support of their communities at home.
