Tartu Marathon main distance won by Kalev, best among women Mannima
Christopher Kalev won the men's main distance and Tatjana Mannima was the fastest among women at the Tartu Ski Marathon.
At the Tartu Ski Marathon held on Sunday, Christopher Kalev emerged victorious in the men's main distance, completing the 63 km classic course in 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 57.4 seconds. The competition was remarkably close, with Kalev finishing just 0.1 seconds ahead of fellow Estonian Henri Roos, while the third-place finisher, Czech athlete Fabian Stocek, trailed Roos by a mere tenth of a second. The top ten was rounded out by competitors from various countries, indicating a high level of international participation.
In the women's category, Tatjana Mannima claimed victory with a time of 3 hours, 26 minutes, and 2.4 seconds, placing her 64th overall in the competition. Mannima's winning time showcased her strong performance, allowing her to finish significantly ahead of her closest competitors, Merilin JΓΌrisaar and Kaisa Rooba, who finished 8 minutes and 50 seconds and 9 minutes and 59 seconds behind, respectively.
