Warm weather with a high of 19 degrees on the second day of the holiday... Beware of fog on the west coast
The second day of the holiday in South Korea is expected to bring warm weather with a high of 19 degrees Celsius; however, heavy fog is predicted for the western coast, necessitating caution while driving.
On the second day of the holiday on the 15th, warm weather is anticipated across South Korea, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 19 degrees Celsius. The Korean Meteorological Administration forecasts the lowest temperature in Seoul to be around 6 degrees Celsius and the highest at 10 degrees. Various regions, from Daejeon to Busan, will experience similarly mild conditions, although central regions and Jeolla are expected to be cloudy in the morning before clearing up in the afternoon. In contrast, the Gyeongsang and Jeju areas are likely to enjoy clearer skies.
However, residents in the western regions, particularly in Gyeongnam, are warned about dense fog reducing visibility to below 200 meters. As of 8 AM, visibility in Uiryeong County was recorded at 100 meters, and some areas in Jinju and Mokpo were at 120 meters. The meteorological authorities have advised that this fog will persist until around 10 AM, especially along the southern western coast of Gyeonggi and other affected areas. There is a chance that areas with lower temperatures may also experience frost, which could pose risks to roadway conditions.
Given these weather conditions, the Meteorological Administration is urging caution, especially around coastal bridges and inland valleys, where fog is likely to be denser than in surrounding areas. Motorists are advised to remain vigilant for possible reduced visibility due to fog and to be cautious of icy patches due to frozen fog, thereby highlighting the importance of road safety during this holiday period.
